Housing Charge definition

Housing Charge means Occupancy Charge for the purpose of the Act and is the amount due by the member to the Co-op on a monthly basis on account of occupancy of the Unit and as determined by the Co-op under the Occupancy Agreement;
Housing Charge means any payment due from members to SMHC and includes charges unrelated to housing.
Housing Charge means the charge, determined and assessed by the Operator from time to time, payable monthly by an Occupant pursuant to an Occupancy Agreement for the right to occupy a Residential Unit;

Examples of Housing Charge in a sentence

  • Notwithstanding the above, if the Co-op is bound by statute or contract to set or maintain the monthly Housing Charge at a specified level or amount, the Directors, not the members, shall set the monthly Housing Charge payable hereunder by taking those obligations at law or contract into consideration.

  • The Member shall pay when due to the Co-op the Housing Charge, any additional or supplemental charge and any other amounts due to the Co-op under this Occupancy Agreement and the Rules to the Co-op: [a] at the office of the Co-op; or [b] at such other place as the Co-op may from time to time designate in writing; and in the form and manner determined by the Directors of the Co-op with no right of set-off or abatement under any circumstances.

  • The Directors of the Co-op shall recommend to the members, at a general meeting duly called for that purpose, the monthly Housing Charge payable hereunder, which shall be approved by an Ordinary Resolution of the members.

  • If the Member anticipates a problem in making any payment of the Housing Charge or any other charge on time, the Member shall notify the Co-op of this likelihood in advance of the due date of the Housing Charge.

  • Failure of the Member to pay the Housing Charge, any additional or supplemental charge or any other amounts owing to the Co-op in accordance with this Occupancy Agreement and the Rules shall be cause for termination of membership under the Rules.

  • If the Member fails to comply with subsection 4.11: [a] the Directors may, in their sole and absolute discretion, increase the Housing Charge, to be assessed retroactively to the effective date of the Member's failure to comply; and [b] the assessed amount shall be payable in full by the Member to the Co-op immediately upon written notice to the Member.

  • It is understood that CMHC will not be responsible to the Housing Provider for any breach or failure of an Assisted Household to observe any of the terms of its lease or occupancy agreement with the Housing Provider including the covenant to pay the Rent-Geared-to-Income Housing Charge and that the only financial responsibility of CMHC to the Housing Provider is to pay the funding under this Agreement.

  • The Member shall pay the Co-op on the first day of each and every month, commencing on the first day of the month the Member takes possession, during the Term of the Occupancy Agreement, a Housing Charge as determined and assessed by the Co-op from time to time and notified to the Member in writing.

  • In addition, the Housing Provider shall ensure that each Assisted Household (i) provides a signed declaration of its Gross Household Income as defined in Schedule “D” on an annual basis, and (ii) signs a written agreement providing that the Rent-Geared-to-Income Housing Charge payable to the Housing Provider will be increased or decreased in accordance with income and that retroactive adjustments will be made if income is misrepresented or not reported.

  • The Housing Provider will not discriminate against the Assisted Household on the basis that it is paying a Rent-Geared-to-Income Housing Charge and will set the Occupancy Charge at the same level for comparable non-Assisted Units and Assisted Units.

Students are billed on a semester-by-semester basis and in two installments during the summer term. • Summer Payment One: A 50 percent payment will be due in the first week of May prior to the start of Summer Session I. • Summer Payment Two: The remaining 50 percent payment will be due in the first week of June prior to the start of Summer Session II. • Students who fail to make either payment will be required to depart from their residence within 24 hours. • Cancellation Policy: As the 12-month housing contract provides the Student with a preferential placement for housing, it is subject to the following terms should it be canceled. • Cancellation after occupancy is subject to a prorated refund based on the number of days the Student has resided in housing, less a cancellation fee of $500. • Refunds for 12-month agreements follow the prorated schedule used for standard agreements. • Students who cancel their 12-month license during the terms of their 10-month agreement are subject to a $500 cancellation fee and relocation for the following semester. • Deposits are nonrefundable. • Students will be required to complete the Move-In Ready Checklist twice during the course of the summer housing license. They will complete the process once as the summer term approaches, and again to verify their fitness for the coming fall term to certify that they are registered and paid for the term. • Students who are registered for courses should read and review the terms for payment as listed on the Housing Selection website. Students who extend their housing terms to 12 months and are not registered are subject to the payment terms and conditions as detailed on the Conference Services webpage. • Students who fail to complete payments for summer housing or leave outstanding balances on their account will have holds placed on their accounts that prohibit registration and may impede their ability to check in for a coming academic term. In these instances, the Student may be required to depart from housing; the University’s refund schedule will be applied for each day their space remains occupied.
