Honor of a letter of credit means performance of the issuer's undertaking in the letter of credit to pay or deliver an item of value. Unless the letter of credit otherwise provides, "honor" occurs:
Drawing means the drawing or drawings specified in or annexed to the Specifications;
Drawee means a person ordered in a draft to make payment.
Request for Letter of Credit means a written request for a Letter of Credit substantially in the form of Exhibit D, together with the standard form of application for letter of credit used by the applicable Issuing Bank, signed by a Senior Officer of the applicable Borrower and properly completed to provide all information required to be provided therein.
LCME means Liaison Committee on Medical Education, an organization that accredits educational institutions granting degrees in medicine and surgery. The board approves programs that are accredited by LCME.
Lacquer means a clear or opaque wood coating, including clear lacquer sanding sealers, formulated with cellulosic or synthetic resins to dry by evaporation without chemical reaction and to provide a solid, protective film.
Draft means a draft as defined in section 3104 or an item, other than an instrument, that is an order.
PAIA means the Promotion of Access to Information Act, 2000;
Loft means an intermediary floor on a residual space in a pitched roof; above normal floor level with a maximum height of 1.5 metres and which is constructed or adopted for storage purposes;
SADC means the Southern African Development Community;
CBO means a community-based organization;
Manicurist means an individual who engages in the practice of manicuring but no other branch of cosmetology in a licensed facility.
Façade means the principal front or fronts of a building.
Drawing Date shall have the meaning set forth in Section 2.12(b) hereof.
Draw means the disbursement of funds to a Development.
Mines Manager means the Mining Engineer so designated for Jhamarkotra Rock Phosphate Mines of Rajasthan State Mines and Minerals Limited.
Drawer means a person who signs or is identified in a draft as a person ordering payment.
Taxicab driver means an individual who uses a taxicab to provide transportation services to potential passengers.
Becquerel (Bq) means the SI unit of activity. One becquerel is equal to 1 disintegration or transformation per second (dps or tps).
traveller means any person designated on a Travel Authorization, or such other request as may be approved by UNDP or its Associated Agencies, and any other traveller who may be authorized to travel at the expense of UNDP or an Associated Agency.NOW THEREFORE, the Parties hereby agree as follows:
Chief Building Official means the Chief Building Official appointed by the by-law of The Corporation of the County of Dufferin for the purposes of enforcement of the Act.
Request for Payment means a payment application or declaration of expenditure submitted by the Member State to the Commission;
Unaccompanied youth means a youth not in the physical custody of a parent or guardian and includes youth living on their own in any of the homeless situations described in the McKinney-Vento Homeless Education Act.
police official means any member of the South African Police Service or a municipal police service appointed in terms of the South African Police Service Act, 1995 (Act No. 68 of 1995);
Panchayat means an institution (by whatever name called) of self-government constituted under article 243B, for the rural areas;
Request for Credit Extension means (a) with respect to a Borrowing, conversion or continuation of Committed Loans, a Committed Loan Notice, (b) with respect to an L/C Credit Extension, a Letter of Credit Application, and (c) with respect to a Swing Line Loan, a Swing Line Loan Notice.
