Honorable discharge definition

Honorable discharge means separation or retirement from active military service. The veteran must be eligible for medical care in the DVA system (excluding financial eligibility). Honorable discharge includes general discharges under honorable conditions.
Honorable discharge means separation or retirement from active military, naval or air force armed service after the satisfactory completion of the period of service to which a person was obligated at time of entry into service, or release from that obligation because of service-connected disabilities.
