Home Grown Player definition
Home Grown Player means a Player who irrespective of his nationality or age, has been registered with:-
Home Grown Player means: a Player who, irrespective of their nationality or age, has been registered with a Club and/or any other football club affiliated to the Football Association or an Affiliated Association, for a period, continuous or not of three Seasons or 36 months prior to their 21 birthday (or the end of the Season during which they turn 21). For the purposes of this definition of Home Grown Player only, a Season will be deemed to commence for all Clubs on the same date as the date on which the Summer Transfer Window in that Season closes for Clubs in the Leagues, and expire on the date of the final League Competition Match of the Season.
Home Grown Player means a player designated as such pursuant to the Competition Guidelines.
Examples of Home Grown Player in a sentence
Any player who is in a Team’s Pre-Season training camp, is not under contract, and who was: (i) on the draft list, (ii) on a roster during the previous year, (iii) or is a Home Grown Player, shall receive per diem and housing, unless such player lives within reasonable commuting distance from the applicable training site.
Unless a Player has individually negotiated a larger bonus in connection with being named to the Home Grown Player All-Star Team, a Player named to that team shall receive a $750 bonus.
MLS will provide all Academy players annually with a fact/information sheet detailing the then-current Home Grown Player rules.
MLS has the right, but not the obligation, to hold a Home Grown Player All-Star Game during the League Season.
More Definitions of Home Grown Player
Home Grown Player means a Player who, irrespective of nationality, has previously been registered with the FAW to play for a Club and/or any other club affiliated to the FAW (whether directly or via the FAW’s area associations) as a Junior Player and/or a Youth Player for at least two (2) full consecutive Playing Seasons prior to the Playing Season in question.
Home Grown Player means the same as the definition provided in Regulation 19(c) of the GFA’s Regulations on the Status & Transfer of Players 2021/2022 as may be amended from time to time. Each Team must prove, to the satisfaction of the GFA, that their Home-Grown Players satisfy this definition.
