Holiday Work definition

Holiday Work. Any work or tour which begins on an authorized holiday.
Holiday Work. All employees required to work on paid holidays shall receive payment for each holiday hour worked as wages or as compensatory time off, at the option of the District. An employee who is scheduled to work on a holiday may request to have an in lieu holiday scheduled on another day. The District has discretion in approving or denying such requests.
Holiday Work means nonovertime work performed by employees during their regularly scheduled daily tour of duty on a holiday. (See 5 CFR 550.103.)

  • In addition to the Sunday or Holiday Work limitations, mobile, short duration, short-term stationary, or intermediate-term stationary temporary traffic control zone (as defined in the VWAPM), lane closures on mainline lanes, Shoulders, or Ramps shall not be performed during the following Holiday time periods without the written permission of the Project Manager.

  • DAY WORK means on item of work requiring the employment of labour with or without materials as the case may be, which, in the opinion of the Senior Engineer /Civil-in-charge, is not capable of being evaluated by the accepted methods of measurement or assessment and is paid for on the basis of the actual labour and materials utilised on the particular item of work referred to.
