Hoisting definition

Hoisting means the provision of unskilled labour and the use of any Contractor's standing plant for the purpose of assisting the Sub-Contractor's workmen in hoisting the Sub-Contractor's plant and materials to the various levels but not placing in its final position;
Hoisting means the act of raising, lowering, or otherwise moving a load in the air with equipment covered by this standard. As used in this standard, ‘‘hoisting’’ can be done by means other than wire rope/hoist drum equipment.
