HLW definition

HLW means part of ASME Code, Section IV, dealing with potable water heaters.
HLW means high-level radioactive waste, including (i) the highly radioactive material resulting from the reprocessing of Spent Nuclear Fuel, including liquid waste produced directly in reprocessing and any solid material derived from such liquid waste that contains fission products in sufficient concentrations; and (ii) other highly radioactive material that the NRC, consistent with existing Law, determines by rule requires permanent isolation.

  • DOE shall have the right to dispose as it sees fit of any SNF and/or HLW to which it has taken title.

  • The Purchaser shall not transfer such SNF and/or HLW to DOE unless DOE agrees to accept such SNF and/or HLW under such other arrangements as may be agreed to, in writing, by the parties.

  • During cask loading and prior to accept- ance by DOE for transportation to the DOE facility, the SNF and/or HLW description of the shipping lot shall be subject to verification by DOE.

  • DOE shall accept title to all SNF and/or HLW, of domestic origin, generated by the civilian nuclear power reactor(s) specified in appendix A, provide subsequent transpor- tation for such material to the DOE facility, and dispose of such material in accordance with the terms of this contract.

  • DOE reserves the right, in its sole dis- cretion, to refuse to accept such SNF and/or HLW until the SNF and/or HLW has been properly described.

  • The Purchaser shall deliver to DOE and DOE shall, as provided in this contract, ac- cept the SNF and/or HLW which is described in accordance with Article VI.A. of this con- tract, for disposal thereof.

Related to HLW

  • tpd means tonnes per day.

  • TMDL means the total maximum daily load limitation of a parameter, representing the estimated assimilative capacity for a water body before other designated uses are adversely affected. Mathematically, it is the sum of wasteload allocations for point sources, load allocations for non-point and natural background sources, and a margin of safety.

  • PMU means the Project Management Unit established in accordance with paragraph 3 of Schedule 5 to this Loan Agreement;

  • SAQA means the South African Qualifications Authority established by section 3 of the South African Qualifications Authority Act, 1995 (Act 58 of 1995);

  • Nodal Ministry means the Ministry or Department identified pursuant to this order in respect of a particular item of goods or services or works.

  • IIROC means the Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada;

  • IRDAI means the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India.

  • NZOC means the New Zealand Olympic Committee Incorporated.

  • SUVA means Specific Ultraviolet Absorption at 254 nanometers (nm), an indicator of the humic content of a water. It is calculated by dividing a sample’s ultraviolet absorption at a wavelength of 254 nm (UV254) (in m-1) by its concentration of dissolved organic carbon (DOC) (in mg/L).

  • IPC means infection prevention and control.

  • Local Authority Associated Persons means any person associated with any local authority within the meaning given in section 69 of the Local Government and Housing Act 1989;

  • NOFA means a Notice of Funding Availability issued by the Department.

  • Marihuana means that term as defined in section 7106 of the public health code, 1978 PA 368, MCL 333.7106.

  • EMEA means the European Medicines Agency.

  • COVID-19 means SARS-CoV-2 or COVID-19, and any evolutions thereof or related or associated epidemics, pandemic or disease outbreaks.

  • MGD means million gallons per day. "mg/l" means milligrams per liter. "ug/l" means micrograms per liter. "ng/l" means nanograms per liter. "S.U." means standard pH unit. "kg/day" means kilograms per day.

  • Local Authority Associated Person means any person associated (within the meaning given in section 69(5) of the Local Government and Housing Act 1989) with any local authority by which the Academy Trust is influenced;

  • EUMA means the “SAP Delivered Support Agreement” which sets out the terms and conditions under which SAP provides support to End Users and which will be provided by SAP on a deal by deal basis.

  • TFEU means the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union;

  • ug/l means micrograms per liter.

  • O. Reg. 419/05 means the Ontario Regulation 419/05, Air Pollution – Local Air Quality.

  • NCCPA means the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.

  • Drug therapy management means the review of a drug therapy regimen of a patient by one or more pharmacists for the purpose of evaluating and rendering advice to one or more practitioners regarding adjustment of the regimen.

  • MDV means medium-duty vehicles.

  • Manicurist means an individual who engages in the practice of manicuring but no other branch of cosmetology in a licensed facility.

  • IMRO means the Irish Music Rights Organisation CLG.
