High Use Areas definition

High Use Areas means publicly owned properties that have irrigated surfaces where there is a high volume of public use and where there may be a significant increase in risk and liability if surfaces are not minimally irrigated to mitigate safety hazards to users caused by lack of water.

  • NEFA often found Koala High Use Areas on the Richmond lowlands where the Forestry Corporation failed to identify them.

  • The Threatened Species Licence (5.2.2(c)) requires that Forests NSW must conduct “star searches” for a 100 metre radius around high use trees to delineate Koala High Use Areas.

  • Service Areas means those areas within the Building used for stairs, elevator shafts, flues, vents, stacks, pipe shafts and other vertical penetrations (but shall not include any such areas for the exclusive use of a particular tenant).
