High Cube Warehouse definition

High Cube Warehouse means buildings used for the storage of manufactured goods prior to their distribution to retail outlets. These facilities consist of large shells of steel buildings and large halls, often subdivided for individual tenants, with a typical ceiling height of 24 to 26 feet; they are also characterized by a small employment count due to a high level of mechanization, truck activities occurring outside of the peak hours adjacent street system, and good freeway access.
High Cube Warehouse means the 848,400 square foot materials handling facility, designed with a clear pile height of at least 24 feet, and intended for the storage and handling of packaged materials and products as described in City Planning Application MPM 16-29. The shell building described in MPM 16-29 not be used for labor intensive manufacturing but rather for capital intensive distribution with limited material handling and manufacturing.
