Heat Content definition

Heat Content means the heating value of and the number of gross real BTU’s measured in the Gas in accordance with GPA Standards 2145 & 2172 at Standard Base Conditions, as amended from time to time. Hydrogen sulfide and sulfur shall be deemed to have no Heating Value.
Heat Content means the gross number of British Thermal Units produced by the complete combustion at constant pressure of the amount of dry Gas which would occupy a volume of one (1) Cubic Foot at a temperature of sixty (60) degrees Fahrenheit and under pressure equivalent to:
Heat Content means the amount of thermal heat energy in a solid, liquid, or gaseous fuel.

More Definitions of Heat Content

Heat Content means the number of Btu's produced by the complete combustion at constant pressure of the amount of anhydrous Gas which would occupy a volume of one cubic foot at a temperature of sixty (60) degrees ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ and an absolute pressure at 14.73 psia.
Heat Content means the total amount of heat contained in a gas stream, including the sensible heat and latent heat of condensation;
Heat Content means the number of Btu’s liberated by the complete combustion at constant pressure of 1 cubic foot of Gas, at a base temperature of 60ºF and an absolute pressure of 14.65 pounds per square inch and adjusted to reflect actual water vapor content with air of the same temperature and pressure of the Gas, after products of combustion are cooled to the initial temperature of the Gas, and after the water of the combustion is condensed to the liquid state. The Gross Heating Value of the Gas will be corrected for the water vapor content of the Gas being delivered; provided, however, that if the water vapor content of the Gas is 7 pounds or less per 1,000,000 cubic feet, the Gas will be assumed to be dry.
