Hearing complaint definition

Hearing complaint means a statement in writing filed by, or on behalf of, the division, a local authority having jurisdiction, or the department of public safety that sets forth the acts or omissions with which the respondent is charged, including the statute(s) and rule(s) which are alleged to have been violated. The hearing complaint shall be in sufficient detail to enable the preparation of the respondent’s defense.

  • Complaints means each of the following documents:

  • Hearing means an oral hearing and includes a hearing conducted in whole or in part by video link, telephone or other means of instantaneous two-way electronic communication;

  • Hearing examiner means the labor commissioner or the commissioner’s designee.

  • Adjudicatory hearing means a hearing to determine:

  • Complaints Procedure means the School's procedure for handling complaints from parents, as amended from time to time for legal or other substantive reasons, or in order to assist the proper administration of the School. It does not form part of the contract between you and the School. A copy of the most up-to-date procedure is on the School's website and is otherwise available from the School at any time upon request;

  • Hearing aid means an instrument or device designed for regular and constant use in or proximate to the human ear and represented as aiding or improving defective human hearing.

  • Hearing Panel means a panel responsible for adjudicating disciplinary cases pursuant to a Notice of Charges authorized by a Review Panel.

  • Prehearing conference means a proceeding scheduled and conduc- ted by a hearing officer to address issues in preparation for a formal administrative hearing.

  • Environmental Complaint shall have the meaning set forth in Section 4.19(d) hereof.

  • Informal hearing means a meeting between the Division and the licensee when a temporary suspension order has been issued.

  • Lawsuit means any lawsuit, arbitration or other dispute resolution filed by either party herein pertaining to any of this Warrant, the Facility Agreement and the Registration Rights Agreement.

  • Permanency hearing means a hearing, conducted with respect to a child who is in foster care, to determine the permanency plan for the child which includes:

  • Hearing Officer means any individual or board charged with the duty of rendering decisions at any stage on grievances hereunder.

  • Adverse employment action means an action that affects an em- ployee ’s compensation, promotion, transfer, work assignment, or performance evaluation, or any other employment action that would dissuade a reasonable employee from making or supporting a report of abuse or neglect under Family Code 261.101.

  • Hearing Board means the shoreline hearings board established by this chapter.

  • Disciplinary proceeding means an adjudicative proceeding permitted under this

  • Corrective action means action taken to eliminate the cause of a potential or real non- conformity or other undesirable situation;

  • Grievance means a dispute arising out of the interpretation, application, administration or alleged violation of the terms of this Agreement.

  • Regulatory Proceeding means a request for information, civil investigative demand, or civil proceeding commenced by service of a complaint or similar proceeding brought by or on behalf of the Federal Trade Commission, Federal Communications Commission, or any federal, state, local or foreign governmental entity in such entity’s regulatory or official capacity in connection with such proceeding.

  • Appeals Tribunal or “AT” means the Body responsible for hearing and determining appeals set out in section 9;

  • Hearing Committee means the committee appointed pursuant to this Plan to hear a request for an evidentiary hearing that has been properly filed and pursued by a practitioner.
