During such leave, the Employer shall continue the Dental, Basic Life Insurance, LTIP, and Supplementary Health and Hospitalization Insurance, including Vision/Hearing Care, coverage provided under Article 49 of this agreement for a maximum of seventeen (17) weeks, if the employee elects to continue to pay her portion of the applicable premiums for these plans.
If the employee’s leave exceeds twelve weeks, the employee may continue the Health and Hospitalization Insurance provided the employee is still in a paid leave status or has been granted unpaid extended leave by the Superintendent.
Health and Hospitalization Insurance for Full-Time Employees (employees scheduled to work 32 or more hours weekly): The selection of insurance carriers and policies will be made by the School District.
