Harmonic definition

Harmonic means a sinusoidal component of a periodic wave or quantity having a frequency that is an integral multiple of the fundamental frequency (for example, a component whose frequency is twice the fundamental frequency is called a second harmonic);
Harmonic means a component of a periodic wave having a frequency that is an integral multiple of the fundamental power system frequency of 50 Hz;
Harmonic means a component frequency of a harmonic motion (as of an electromagnetic wave) that is an integral multiple of the fundamental frequency. For the power distribution system in Hong Kong, the fundamental frequency is 50 Hz.
