hands-free mode definition

hands-free mode means the use of a mobile telephone or text messaging device by way of an internal feature or function, or an attachment or addition, whether or not permanently part of such telephone or device, by which a user engages in a conversation or communication without the use of either hand; provided, however, this definition shall not preclude the use of either hand to activate, deactivate, or initiate a function of such telephone or device.
hands-free mode means an attachment, accessory, application, wireless connection, or built-in feature of a wireless communications device or vehicle that allows the person to use the device without the use of either hand except to active or deactivate a feature or function.
