Habitable unit definition

Habitable unit means one or more connected habitable rooms, not containing kitchen, kitchenette or cooking facilities, but designed for use by a single family as a separate accommodation for living or sleeping purposes. (Ord. 1971 § 2, 2005)

  • Habitable room means any room in a dwelling unit used for or capable of being used for living, cooking, sleeping or eating purposes.

  • Habitable space means space in a building used for living, sleeping, eating, or cooking. Habitable space does not include a heater or utility room, a crawl space, a basement, an attic, a garage, an open porch, a balcony, a terrace, a court, a deck, a bathroom, a toilet room, a closet, a hallway, a storage space, and other similar spaces not used for living, sleeping, eating, or cooking.

  • Uninhabitable means (1) the building structure itself is unstable and there is a risk of collapse in whole or in part; (2) there is exterior or structural damage allowing elemental intrusion, such as rain, wind, hail or flood; (3) immediate safety hazards have yet to be cleared, such as debris or downed electrical lines; (4) the rental property is without electricity, gas, sewer service or water; or (5) the Destination is Inaccessible.

  • Common Areas is defined as all areas and facilities outside the Premises and within the exterior boundary line of the Industrial Center and interior utility raceways within the Premises that are provided and designated by the Lessor from time to time for the general non-exclusive use of Lessor, Lessee and other lessees of the Industrial Center and their respective employees, suppliers, shippers, customers, contractors and invitees, including parking areas, loading and unloading areas, trash areas, roadways, sidewalks, walkways, parkways, driveways and landscaped areas.

  • Outside Areas means all areas within the Property which are located outside the buildings, such as pedestrian walkways, parking areas, landscaped areas, open areas and enclosed trash disposal areas.

  • Qualified building means a building built at least 30 years before the date of application, located within a designated downtown or, village center, or neighborhood development area, which, upon completion of the project supported by the tax credit, will be an income-producing building not used solely as a single-family residence. Churches and other buildings owned by religious organization may be qualified buildings, but in no event shall tax credits be used for religious worship.

  • Watertight means capable of preventing the passage of water through the structure in any direction under a head of water for which the surrounding structure is designed.

  • Cooperative Unit A single family dwelling located in a Cooperative Property.

  • Cohabitant means the same as that term is defined in Section 78B-7-102.

  • car-share parking space means a parking space that is reserved and actively used for car-sharing;

  • Rental unit means a structure or part of a structure used as a home, residence, or sleeping unit by a single person or household unit, or any grounds, or other facilities or area promised for the use of a residential tenant and includes, but without limitation, apartment units, boarding houses, rooming houses, mobile home spaces, and single and 2-family dwellings.

  • Commercial unit means such a unit of goods as by commercial usage is a single whole for purposes of lease and division of which materially impairs its character or value on the market or in use. A commercial unit may be a single article, as a machine, or a set of articles, as a suite of furniture or a line of machinery, or a quantity, as a gross or carload, or any other unit treated in use or in the relevant market as a single whole.

  • industrial effluent means any liquid, whether or not containing matter in solution or suspension, which is emitted in the course of or as a result of any trade or industrial operation, including a mining operation, and includes any liquid besides soil water or waste water or stormwater;

  • Residential Unit means a home, apartment, residential condominium unit or mobile home, serving as the principal place of residence.

  • Heat unit means a unit of energy equal to the product of the peak kilovoltage, milliamperes, and seconds, i.e., kVp x mA x second.

  • Qualified buildings means construction of new structures,

  • Elevated Building means a non-basement building which has its lowest elevated floor raised above ground level by foundation walls, shear walls, posts, piers, pilings, or columns.

  • the Building means any building of which the Property forms part.

  • Said Unit means the said Flat, the said Vehicle Parking Space, (if any), and the right of common use of the Common Portions and wherever the context so intends or permits, shall also include the Said Undivided Share.

  • Surface owner means any person who holds record title to the surface of the land as an owner.

  • Parking Areas means those areas located upon the Property designated by Landlord, from time to time, to be parking areas.

  • Partnership Unit means, with respect to any class of Partnership Interest, a fractional, undivided share of such class of Partnership Interest issued pursuant to Sections 4.1 and 4.3 (including Performance Units). The ownership of Partnership Units may be evidenced by a certificate for units substantially in the form of Exhibit D-1 or D-2 hereto or as the General Partner may determine with respect to any class of Partnership Units issued from time to time under Sections 4.1 and 4.3.

  • Serviceable when used to describe an Engine or Part, means in an airworthy condition within the limits defined in the applicable Engine manuals, specification and/or publications by the type certificate holder.

  • public open space means the securing of an area of a site at grade or street level which is acceptable to the City and is appropriately landscaped for the use and enjoyment of the public during reasonable hours.

  • the Premises means the building or part of the building booked and referred to in the contract

  • GP Unit means a Partnership Unit which is designated as a GP Unit of the Partnership.
