We may declare a higher Growth Cap, which will be shown in your Annual Report or other written notice.
Growth Cap – This is the maximum total interest rate for a Segment over the Segment Term, including both the Cumulative Segment Guaranteed Interest Rate and the Segment Indexed Interest Rate.
The Segment Indexed Interest Rate reflects any growth in the Index multiplied by the Participation Rate, subject to the Growth Cap, that exceeds the Cumulative Segment Guaranteed Interest Rate.
Each Segment in each Indexed Account will have its own Growth Cap and Participation Rate.
Once a Segment is created, the Growth Cap and Participation Rate for that Segment will not change during the Segment Term.
We may provide a higher Growth Cap or Participation Rate than is shown in the Policy Specifications.
During the Suite Term, Your payment obligation related to the Enterprise-wide Commitment may increase as a result of any of the following: (a) You exceed the Initial Growth Cap (as described in section 5); (b) You exceed the Initial Entitlement or the previous year’s Entitlement subject to a True Forward (as described in section 6); or (c) You purchase an additional Suite (as described in section 9).
Initial Growth Cap and Exceptional Growth only apply to certain Full Commit Suites specified in the Buying Program Offer Descriptions.
If the Purchased Suite includes a Growth Allowance (described in the applicable Enrollment Description), the Growth Allowance cannot be used to offset fees for exceeding the Initial Growth Cap.
The Participation Rate and Growth Cap used in determining the credited rate from the index are not guaranteed and can be changed by us for future segments, subject to the guarantees in the Policy, and any such changes can affect the return.
