GRIP Stage 5 definition

GRIP Stage 5 means the detailed design phase reached using the GRIP process, which requires production of a complete and robust engineering design that allows risks, costs, timescales, resources and benefits to be fully understood prior to commitment to implement using the GRIP Process;

Examples of GRIP Stage 5 in a sentence

  • This shall be a condition of GRIP Stage 6 to 8 Capped NSF2 Funding assessed at the GRIP Stage 5 Stage Gate Review.

  • Deliverables post GRIP Stage 5 shall only be accepted as complete and payment for the Deliverables made when all of the Works/the whole Project have satisfied the completion requirements (except where it is specifically agreed by the Administrator that Deliverables qualify as discrete Deliverables that can be Taken into Use and used safely prior to Project completion).

  • The signed commitment to provide the full Match Funding for the NSF2 Project will be a condition precedent to the release of NSF2 funding at GRIP Stage 5.

  • Subject to Clause 6.6, no milestone or staged payments shall be applied to the Works and payments of the Purchase Price may only be paid in respect of completed Deliverables at GRIP Stage 3, GRIP Stage 5 and GRIP Stage 7 (except where a GRIP Stage 4 – 8 design and build strategy is applied and in such case, no further payment of the Purchase Price may be made to the Delivery Agent after GRIP stage 3 until the end of GRIP Stage 7).

  • The STAA should be approved by the end of GRIP Stage 5 conditional upon completion of the NSF2 Project and other “Relevant Agreements” e.g. Station Lease, being in place, by an agreed Long Stop Date.

  • Payment of deliverables after GRIP Stage 5 is upon completion of the Project and bids should include any necessary financing charges to manage cash flow.

  • Efficiently incurred development costs can be added to Network Rail’s asset register only if it is in the form of a completed GRIP Stage 4 or GRIP Stage 5 deliverable such as a GRIP 4 Outline Design report or a GRIP 5 Detailed Design.

  • The Delivery Agent should advise Network Rail of the AFC of the relevant works and assets when this information becomes available from GRIP Stage 5, and then provide to Network Rail the confirmed final cost of these with the submission of invoices for payment of completed Deliverables.

  • Otherwise, valid NSF2 Project Deliverables verified by the NSF2 Administrator (Network Rail) can be refunded through the NSF2 Asset Purchase Agreement only at the end of GRIP Stage 5 for all of the completed NSF2 Project Development Deliverables and at the end of the whole Project for all of the remaining NSF2 Project Implementation Deliverables.

  • The Delivery Agent (in consultation with Network Rail) will submit to the ▇▇▇ the efficient costs of the NSF2 Project proposed to be added to Network Rail’s asset register and secure the ▇▇▇’▇ acknowledgement of this intent by the NSF2 Project GRIP Stage 5 Stage Gate Review.
