Grievance Representative definition

Grievance Representative means an employee designated by the Union to investigate grievances and to represent grievants at Step 1 meetings on grievances which have been properly filed under this Article when the Union has been selected as the employee’s representative.
Grievance Representative means an individual designated in writing by the grievant to represent, and act for and/or on behalf of, the grievant throughout the grievance procedure.
Grievance Representative means any Officer who is trained and appointed by the Association to assist Officers of this Department in the Grievance Procedures as set forth by this Contract.

Examples of Grievance Representative in a sentence

  • If a grievant selects a Union Grievance Representative to represent him in a grievance which has been properly filed in accordance with this Article, the Union Grievance Representative may be allowed a reasonable amount of annual leave to investigate the grievance.

  • Written communication concerning the grievance or its resolution shall be sent to the grievant and the PBA Grievance Representative, and the decision agreed to by the state and the PBA shall be binding on the grievant.

  • When the grievant has elected PBA representation, the grievant and the PBA Grievance Representative shall be notified of any Step 1 meeting.

  • Such annual leave shall be subject to prior approval by the Union Grievance Representative’s immediate supervisor; however, approval of such leave will not be withheld if the Union Grievance Representative can be allowed such time off without interfering with, or unduly hampering the operations of the unit to which the Union Grievance Representative is regularly assigned.

  • The state will not recognize a Grievance Representative whose name does not appear on the list.

  • The PBA shall furnish a list which includes the name, official class title, name of employing agency, and specific work location of each employee designated to act as a PBA Grievance Representative.

  • In no case shall an Association Grievance Representative be allowed to travel more than 25 miles from their official work location in order to investigate a grievance.

  • At the time a grievance is initiated, the Chapter Grievance Representative and the University Grievance Officer will attempt to achieve an informal resolution.

  • If an employee chooses to represent herself or himself, she or he shall so inform the Chapter Grievance Representative and the University Grievance Officer at the time of filing; in so doing, the grievant retains the right to request Union representation at any stage of the grievance process.

  • A UPI Local Grievance Representative may assist or substitute for the Chapter Grievance Representative at the request of UPI (hereinafter Union Grievance Representative).

  • Workplace Representative means a person: (i) who is an Employee; (ii) chosen and appointed by an individual Employee or a number of Employees to represent them in relation to the terms of this Agreement; and (iii) who acts on the instructions of the Employee or Employees that appointed the Workplace Representative.
