Grading Period definition

Grading Period means the period of time at the end of which a student in grades 9-12 receives a final grade and course credit is awarded for passing grades.

Examples of Grading Period in a sentence

  • The following school events are to be included on the calendar drafts – Dates and times of Parent/Teacher Conferences at each building, Open House dates and times at each building, Grading Period beginning and ending dates, and scheduled In-Service Days.

  • The first time an athlete becomes ineligible, a probation period may be granted whereby a student may continue in the sport until the next Grading Period.

  • At the end of each Grading Period, incomplete grades may be given only with prior administrative approval ensuring that a plan and timeline for completion of the course work is in place.

  • CBHS teachers create a Green Sheet for each Grading Period for each course that they teach.

  • To be eligible to participate in athletics, a student must be a full time student maintaining a minimum grade point average of 2.0 each Grading Period and not have received 2-F’s.

  • That athlete must wait until the following Grading Period to become eligible for another sports team.

  • The Incomplete shall become an “F” if not made up within three days after the Grading Period.

  • A high-school student requesting to drop a course or change a course during the first week of the Grading Period must have prior administrative approval and then may do so without any entry on his/her permanent record card.

  • A student who drops a course after the first week of the Grading Period may be subject to receive an "F" grade on his/her permanent record, unless otherwise decided by the principal or designee because of extenuating circumstances.

  • For the term of this Agreement the Grading Period shall be divided into four (4), nine (9) week periods.
