Good Electrical Practices definition

Good Electrical Practices means those practices, methods and acts engaged in or approved by a significant portion of the independent electric power generation industry during the relevant time period, or any of the practices, methods and acts which, in the exercise of reasonable judgment in light of the facts known at the time a decision is made, could have been expected to accomplish a desired result at reasonable cost consistent with good business practices, reliability, safety and expedition. Good Electrical Practices are not intended to be *** CONFIDENTIAL TREATMENT REQUESTED *** limited to the optimum practices, methods or acts to the exclusion of others, but rather to those practices, methods and acts generally accepted or approved by a significant portion of the power industry in the relevant region, during the relevant time period, as described in the immediately preceding sentence.

Examples of Good Electrical Practices in a sentence

  • Subject to Section 10.02, Independence shall at all times operate the Facility in accordance with Good Electrical Practices.

  • Independence shall comply with NYISO Directed Operations that are not consistent with Good Electrical Practices only during NYISO system emergencies.
