Notwithstanding the provisions of Sections 24.3 and 25.5 (Blue Unit) and Sections 25.3 and 26.5 (Gold Unit), of the 2011 -2013 collective bargaining agreements, any bargaining unit member employed as of January 1, 2011, who elects to retire on December 31, 2013 rather than on or before December 30, 2013, shall be eligible for the Retiree Benefits set forth in the above referenced sections provided that the employee notifies the City, in writing, of the intent to retire not later than November I, 2013.
The first twenty-four (24) hours of sign-up time shall be divided equally between the Blue Unit and Gold Unit members with all members only volunteering for one of the available time slot during this time frame.
