GMP Equalisation definition
GMP Equalisation means the calculation and determination of the benefit entitlement of members of a scheme derived from their GMP, or the calculation and determination of the amount (if any) by which transfer values paid in the past in respect of former members who had accrued GMP need to be topped-up, the outcome of which is intended to ensure that the scheme has complied with its legal requirement to provide equal benefits for male and female members.
