Geotechnical definition

Geotechnical means that category of well driller license which authorizes the practice of well drilling, limited to wells constructed for the purpose of sampling, measuring, or test pumping for scientific, engineering, or regulatory purposes, including wells constructed specifically for the removal of contaminants from an aquifer, but excluding water supply test wells.

As used in the Agreement, the term A/E may include a criteria architect or engineer for a Design-Build project.

  • Value Engineering means the detailed analysis of systems, equipment, materials, services, facilities, and supplies required by the Contract Documents for the purpose of achieving the desired and essential functions of the Owner’s program at the lowest cost consistent with required and necessary performance, longevity, reliability, quality and safety.

  • Subsurface tracer study means the release of a substance tagged with radioactive material for the purpose of tracing the movement or position of the tagged substance in the well-bore or adjacent formation.

  • Stormwater management basin means an excavation or embankment and related areas designed to retain stormwater runoff. A stormwater management basin may either be normally dry (that is, a detention basin or infiltration basin), retain water in a permanent pool (a retention basin), or be planted mainly with wetland vegetation (most constructed stormwater wetlands).
