Gauging Station definition

Gauging Station means a location at which rainfall and/or water level is measured. Water level is measured in metres, either in reference to a local datum or Australian Height Datum. Flow in cubic metres per second (m3/s) can be inferred using a water level versus discharge rating;
Gauging Station means a location and facility where systematic records of water levels are obtained or Flows are monitored.

  • Hydro and Split Lake Cree agree that if, for any reason, Canada and Manitoba cease to operate the Split Lake Gauging Station, then Hydro shall forthwith re-activate, restore or replace the Split Lake Gauging Station and operate or cause same to be operated as required for the purposes of this Article and this Agreement.

  • The sum of the absolute values of the Daily Average Water Level fluctuations on Split Lake, measured at the Split Lake Gauging Station, for any calendar month do not exceed 1.83 m (6.0 ft.).

  • If at any time it comes to the attention of any Party that the Split Lake Gauging Station is not accurately providing the water level measurements required by this Agreement, that Party shall forthwith notify the other Parties.

  • From and after the Date of this Agreement, Hydro will maintain a record of the water levels recorded by the Split Lake Gauging Station and provide such records to any Party when requested or required for purposes of this Agreement.

  • Prior to construction of any replacement gauge or relocation of the Split Lake Gauging Station, the design and location shall be approved by War Lake and Hydro.

  • At present, Canada is operating the Split Lake Gauging Station in accordance with the terms of the memorandum of agreement on water quantity surveys between Canada and Manitoba dated April 1, 1975.
