Gatekeeper physician definition

Gatekeeper physician means any qualified physician, as defined by KRS 342.0011(32), acting within the scope of his or her license who has been specifically designated by a managed health care system to provide primary care to a patient and to make referrals of patients to other providers for specialized care or diagnostic services.
