The parties of the agreement agree that the trade skills required for the Plumbing, Drainage, Gas-fitting, Roof Plumbing, Mechanical Services, Medical Gas and Hydrogen industry will continue to be delivered through system of structured vocational Training Centres that requires Infrastructure and Capital Investment for the Industry which the parties are stakeholders.

Plumber – Supervisor Shall mean a person holding a current Tradespersons license in accordance with the Plumbers Licensing And Plumbing Standards Regulations (currently 2000) and Gas Standards (Gasfitting and Consumer Gas Installations) Regulations (currently 1999) with the ability to perform all plumbing, drainage and gas fitting duties as required and to ensure those works are completed in accordance with the relevant authority regulations and by-laws.
Plumber – Level 1 Shall mean a person holding a current Tradespersons license in accordance with the Plumbers Licensing And Plumbing Standards Regulations (currently 2000) and Gas Standards (Gasfitting and Consumer Gas Installations) Regulations (currently 1999) with less than 2 years experience and with the ability to perform all plumbing, drainage and gas fitting duties unsupervised as required and to ensure those works are completed in accordance with the relevant authority regulations and by-laws.
The proposed clause 16.1(b) has increased the User’s obligation to ensure that any area surrounding the Measuring Equipment is “safe” in addition to the continuing obligation to ensure that it complies at all times with applicable regulations, standards and Gas-fitting rules.

All indoor gas equipment and installations shall comply with the Gas Standards Act 1972 and Gas Standards (Gasfitting and Consumer Gas Installations) Regulations 1999 at all times.
