Garbage and Refuse definition

Garbage and Refuse the LESSEE further undertakes to maintain the leased premises free of garbage, refuse or other products that could contribute to increasing the risk of fire, produce unpleasant or nauseating odors or obstruct the hallways or public spaces. The LESSEE shall put the garbage and refuse in appropriate containers located at locations indicated by the LESSOR which shall have them removed at its own expense.
Garbage and Refuse as used in this chapter means and includes, but is not limited to: all animal and vegetable waste resulting from handling, preparing, cooking or consumption of food; provided, however, that it shall not include waste from slaughterhouses; paper, plastic, cardboard, cans, glass, crockery, rags and similar materials, grass, weeds, leaves, flowers and shrub clippings small enough to be contained within a plastic bag; garden vegetables and fruits, and ash residue of materials burned in stoves, fireplaces and furnaces.

Examples of Garbage and Refuse in a sentence

  • Accounting records of the Company shall utilize the system prescribed by the WUTC known as the “Uniform System of Accounts for Class A Garbage and Refuse Collection Companies” or a similar type approved by the WUTC.

  • The Contractor shall collect Refuse and Recyclables from Town residents in the Yorktown Garbage and Refuse District for only those Service Stops and set forth on Appendixes F and G, and Appendices A-C.

  • The Contractor shall comply with all applicable ordinances of the City and the laws and regulations of ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ County and the State of Minnesota and its agencies relating to sanitation and collection of Garbage and Refuse.

  • The City may withhold payment for Garbage and Refuse Collection services pending receipt of such information.

Related to Garbage and Refuse

  • Garbage means solid wastes from the domestic and commercial preparation, cooking, and dispensing of food, and from the handling, storage, and sale of produce.

  • Trash means solids not considered to be highly flammable or explosive including, but not limited to clothing, rags, leather, plastic, rubber, floor coverings, excelsior, tree leaves, yard trimmings and other similar materials.

  • Recyclables means Solid Waste that may be reclaimed and/or processed and used in the production of raw materials or products.

  • Industrial wastewater means the water or liquid carried waste from an industrial process. These wastes may result from any process or activity of industry, manufacture, trade or business, from the development of any natural resource, or from animal operations such as feedlots, poultry houses, or dairies. The term includes contaminated storm water and leachate from solid waste facilities.

  • Recycling means the series of activities by which materials that are no longer useful to the generator are collected, sorted, processed, and converted into raw materials and used in the production of new products. This definition excludes the use of these materials as a fuel substitute or for energy production.
