Functional Therapy definition
Functional Therapy means a short term therapeutic rehabilitation program of which the major component is the treatment of a medical and/or psychological condition of disabled or handicapped adolescents or adults who have been determined to have no vocational objective. The program is individually planned and coordinated and includes participation in work activity services concurrent with the medical services and is designed to enhance the individual’s daily living skills. The work activity services are provided in a medical sheltered workshop facility which performs such service.
Examples of Functional Therapy in a sentence
The Standards for Home-based and Mentoring Services (Standards) shall be put into place for any agency providing any type of home-based and/or mentoring services for cases reviewed by the Stafford County Family Assessment and Planning Team (FAPT) to include, but not limited to; intensive in-home counseling, home-based counseling, parenting programs, crisis intervention, ABA therapy, Family Functional Therapy, Multi-Systemic Therapy, and therapeutic mentoring.
Family Functional Therapy and Multi-Systemic Therapy (mental health evidence based practices) are provided to youth and their families.
