Full Disability definition

Full Disability means incapacitation by accident or illness and, as determined under the Long-Term Disability Plan applicable to employees of Norstan, the Corporation or any subsidiary of the Corporation, inability to perform the duties of the position Employee then occupies for a period of 150 consecutive days.
Full Disability or "Fully Disabled" means that because of a sickness or an injury you can not do your job.
Full Disability means the inability to perform with reasonable continuity the essential duties of your position as defined by the Bank’s Long Term Disability Policy Plan.

Examples of Full Disability in a sentence

  • In the event that the Employee’s employment with Norstan, the Corporation and any subsidiary of the Corporation is terminated by such employers without Cause, or due to death or Full Disability, any remaining unpaid installments of the Retention Bonus shall become payable within five (5) days of the Date of Termination.

  • Employer shall use its best efforts to obtain and maintain insurance coverage to provide for the Full Disability Benefits, which insurance coverage may include insured benefits under the Employer's short-term and long-term disability plans for executives (all such insurance referred to hereafter as "Disability Insurance").

  • The Company and the Underwriters agree that it would not be just and equitable if contributions pursuant to this Section 8(e) were to be determined by pro rata allocation (even if the Underwriters were treated as one entity for such purpose) or by any other method of allocation that does not take into account the equitable considerations referred to herein.

  • SHORT TERM INSURANCE Recurrent Disabilities Waiting Period and the Maximum Benefit Period apply to any continuous period of Full Disability whether from one or more causes.

  • Successive periods of Full due to the same or related cause or causes will be considered continuous period of Full Disability.

  • If you are actively at work with the Policyholder for a continuous period of days or more periods of Full Disability, the second period of Full shall be considered as being due to the same or related cause or causes as the preceding period of Full Disability.


More Definitions of Full Disability

Full Disability or “Fully Disabled” means you cannot, because of sickness or an injury, perform your regular occupation or any other reasonably appropriate occupation your Participating Employer can provide. Full Disability may also be called “Phase 1 Disability.” With respect to airplane pilots in the Participating Employer’s Aviation Department, “Fully Disabled” or “Full Disability” also means you (1) fail, because of your health, to pass the Class II F.A.A. health examination, and (2) the Participating Employer certifies that you have not been redeployed to another job with a Participating Employer.
Full Disability means the inability of the Executive, as determined by the Board in good faith, to perform the essential functions of his regular duties and responsibilities on a full-time or part-time basis (defined as service at a rate of no less than 24 hours per week), with reasonable accommodation, by reason of any medically determined physical or mental impairment which has lasted for 180 consecutive or intermittent days in any one-year period. At the request of Executive or his legal representative, the Board’s determination that the• Full Disability of the Executive has occurred shall be certified by a licensed physician selected by the Company or its insurers and reasonably acceptable to the Executive or the Executive’s legal representative. If the parties cannot agree on a licensed physician, each party shall select a licensed physician and the two physicians shall select a third who shall be the approved licensed physician for this purpose. In the event that such independent certification (if so requested by the Executive or his legal representative) does not support the Board’s determination that the Executive is Fully Disabled pursuant to the terms of this Agreement, the Executive’s termination shall be deemed a termination by the Company without cause and not a termination by reason of his Full Disability.
