Fuel Adjustment Factor definition

Fuel Adjustment Factor has the meaning specified in subsection 13.8(B).
Fuel Adjustment Factor when used with respect to a particular Reporting Year, shall be determined as follows: FAFn = WCDn-1 ÷ WCDb Where, FAFn = The Fuel Adjustment Factor for Reporting Year “n.” WCD n-1 = The annual average of the 12-monthly EIA Diesel All Types Prices – West Coast less California values occurring in the twelve months preceding the Reporting Year with respect to which a calculation is to be made thereunder. For example, for the Reporting Year beginning May 2024, WCD n-1 is the average annual EIA Diesel All Types Prices – West Coast less California for the 12-month period commencing May 2023 through April 2024. WCDb = The base value is $( ) per gallon, which is the EIA Diesel All Types Prices – West Coast less California for the week of May 1, 2023. The average EIA Diesel All Types Prices – West Coast less California values shall be rounded to the same number of decimal places as reported by the U.S. Energy Information Administration for each Reporting Year. When determining any amount to be adjusted by the Fuel Adjustment Factor for any Reporting Year, the Fuel Adjustment Factor shall not be rounded and the resulting adjusted amount shall be rounded to the nearest ▇▇▇▇▇.
Fuel Adjustment Factor means “FAF”; a surcharge added to agreed rates. This is based on the average pump price, which is calculated from an independent source.

  • The Fuel Index, and the resulting Fuel Adjustment Factor to be paid to Supplier, will be made subject to regulatory approval and only to the extent that the Companies are allowed to collect such revenues from their retail customers taking Standard Offer Service.

  • The Base Per Ton Transport Charge set forth shall be adjusted at the beginning of each Billing Year by multiplying (i) 80% of such amount by the CPI Adjustment Factor, and (ii) 20% of such amount by the Fuel Adjustment Factor, provided the Waste Transport Charge shall be subject to a minimum annual increase of two and one-half percent (2.5%) and maximum annual increase of three percent (3.0%).
