Frivolous claim definition
Frivolous claim means a claim that completely lacks merit under existing law and cannot be supported by a good faith argument for the extension, modification, or reversal of existing law or the establishment of new law.
Frivolous claim means a claim which has no reasonable merit or reasonable expectation of success. A frivolous claim is one in which the claimant knows there is no merit and makes the claim for the sole purpose of delay, harassment, or undue hardship upon respondent party or parties.
