Freight means the remuneration payable to the carrier for the carriage of goods under a contract of carriage.
Freight Forwarder means that term as defined in 49 USC 13102.
Freight Switcher means a locomotive that moves rail cars around a rail yard as compared to a line-haul engine that moves freight long distances.
Dock means a fixed or floating structure extending from land out over water, including access walkways, terminal platforms, catwalks, mooring pilings, lifts, davits, and other associated water-dependent structures, used for mooring and accessing vessels.
Demurrage means charges payable for storage of cargo within port premises beyond free period, as specified in the scale of rates.
Ships means together Ship A, Ship B, Ship C, Ship D, Ship E and Ship F and, in the singular, means any of them;
Freight forwarding services means the activity consisting of organising and monitoring shipment operations on behalf of shippers, through the acquisition of transport and related services, preparation of documentation and provision of business information.
Transportation means any land, sea or air conveyance required to Transport the Insured during an Emergency Evacuation. Transportation includes, but is not limited to, air ambulances, land ambulances and private motor vehicles.
Warehouser means any person, other than a wholesale distributor, engaged in the business of
Packing means the activities required to wrap and protect an article, properly place the article in appropriate carton or box, and stow the article and its carton or box in a lift van of sufficient size and constructed in accordance with post specifications; includes obtaining customs clearances and required documentation for shipment, via surface or air as appropriate.
Charges shall have the meaning assigned to such term in Section 9.09.
Ship means a vessel of any type whatsoever operating in the marine environment and includes hydrofoil boats, air-cushion vehicles, submersibles, floating craft and fixed or floating platforms.
Sailboat means the same as that term is defined in Section 73-18-2.
Loading means the quantity of a specific substance present per unit of surface area, such as the amount of lead in micrograms contained in the dust collected from a certain surface area divided by the surface area in square feet or square meters.
Vessels shall have the meaning set forth in the recitals.
Tariffs means customs duties included in the national tariff schedules of the Participating States.
Maritime cargo handling services means activities exercised by stevedore companies, including terminal operators, but not including the direct activities of dockers, when this workforce is organised independently of the stevedoring or terminal operator companies. The activities covered include the organisation and supervision of:
Recyclables means Solid Waste that may be reclaimed and/or processed and used in the production of raw materials or products.
Transportation fuel means electricity and any liquid or
Baggage means luggage, and personal possessions and travel documents; whether owned, borrowed, or rented, taken by the Insured on the Trip.
Wharfage means the basic dues recoverable on all cargo/ container landed or shipped or transshipped within the port limits or passing through the declared landing stage of the port, whether porterage was provided by the port or not.
Houseboat means a powered vessel containing living accommodation, usually flat- bottomed and used in navigation.
Cemetery merchandise means merchandise described in section 4(1)(k)(i).
FOB means Free on Board
Routes means that part of the Network specified in Schedule 2; "safety authorisation" has the meaning ascribed to it by regulation 2 of the Railways and Other Guided Transport Systems (Safety) Regulations 2006; "safety certificate" has the meaning ascribed to it by regulation 2 of the Railways and Other Guided Transport Systems (Safety) Regulations 2006;
Transportation Costs means costs of travel as a fare paying passenger in any Common Carrier Conveyance other than a taxicab.
