Free TV definition

Free TV means the scheduled linearly programmed delivery and/or exhibition of a motion picture, television show or other entertainment product by any means of transmission to a television set or other viewing device by any technology (whether now known or hereafter devised), which shall be advertising supported and/or contain programming breaks (except in the case of the NPO/VPRO), where the consumer is not charged any fees or charges (other than any compulsory fees charged by a government or governmental agency assessed on those who use television sets) . For clarity, Free TV does not include Subscription Pay TV or Basic TV.
Free TV means all forms of Terrestrial Free TV, Cable Free TV and Satellite Free TV exploitation of a Motion Picture.
Free TV is television exhibition for which no fee or subscription is charged to the viewer.

More Definitions of Free TV

Free TV means the right to Distribute any programs or other content as part of a regularly scheduled program service by any and all means, methods, and/or manners now known or hereafter devised (including broadcast, cable, wire, satellite, wireless, Internet, IPTV, virtual private networks, closed systems, etc.) for viewing on any and all audiovisual devices (including televisions, computers, handheld (including mobile) devices, etc.) now known or hereafter devised, and no charge is made for viewing programs or other content (other than any compulsory fees charged by a government or government agency on those who use television sets or for receiving the program service via satellite or cable). For purposes of clarification, Free TV includes (i) simulcast rights (i.e., the right to simultaneously transmit any programs or other content over the Internet); and (ii) “on demand” rights (i.e., the right to make available any programs or other content to authorized subscribers for on demand viewing).
Free TV means the delivery and/or exhibition of a motion picture, television show or other entertainment product by means of over the air signals, cable, satellite or any other electronic or non-tangible means (whether now known or hereafter devised) which is free and/or Ad Supported and/or which is publicly funded, where such exhibition is made available to consumers on a Linear basis (i.e., not on an On-Demand basis, such On-Demand exploitation constitutes FVOD).
Free TV means and include the television broadcast of the Promo(s) over the facilities of television broadcast networks and local television broadcast stations (not cable transmissions or “CATV” transmissions) which furnish such broadcast without charge to the viewer and which are received by and exhibited on a television broadcast receiver or other similar viewing device.
Free TV means the Originating transmission by coaxial or fiber-optic cable of a Motion Picture Copy for reception on television receivers in private living places without a charge to the viewer for the privilege of viewing the Motion Picture, provided that for this purpose neither government television receiver assessments or taxes nor the regular periodic service charges (but not a charge for PayPerView or Pay TV) paid by a subscriber to a cable television system will be deemed a charge to the viewer. Satellite Free TV means the up-link broadcast to a satellite and its down-link broadcast to terrestrial satellite reception dishes of a Motion Picture Copy for viewing on television receivers in private living places located in the immediate vicinity of their reception dishes without a charge to the viewer for the privilege of viewing the Motion Picture, provided that for this purpose government satellite dish or television receiver assessments or taxes (but not a charge for PayPerView or Pay TV) will not be deemed a charge to the viewer.
Free TV means the originating transmission by coaxial or fiber-optic cable of a Film(s) for television reception in private living places without a charge to the viewer for the privilege of viewing the Film(s), provided that tor this purpose neither government television assessments or taxes nor the regular periodic service charges (but not a charge for PayPerView or Pay TV) paid by a subscriber to a cable television system will be deemed a charge to the viewer. Satellite Free 7Vmeans the up-link broadcast to a satellite and its down-link broadcast to terrestrial satellite reception dishes of a Film(s) for television viewing in private living places located in the immediate vicinity of their reception dishes without a charge to the viewer for the privilege of viewing the Film(s), provided that for this purpose government satellite dish or television assessments or taxes (but not a charge for PayPerView or Pay TV) will not be deemed a charge to the viewer. DSL Free TV means the broadcast of a Film(s) by means of a digital subscriber line using digital technology over single copper twisted pair or fiber optic telephone lines across a closed transmission path/network accessible without a charge to the viewer for the privilege of viewing the Film(s), provided that for this purpose neither government television assessments or taxes nor the regular periodic service charges (but not a charge for PayPerView or Pay TV) paid by a subscriber to a DSL television system will be deemed a charge to the viewer. Pay Per View means NonResidential PayPerView and Residential PayPerView exploitation of a Film(s). PayPerView does not include any form of Pay TV or Free TV, nor any form of making the Film(s) available over the Internet.
