Fraternization definition

Fraternization means inappropriate behavior including, but not limited to, flirting, making suggestive comments, dating, requests for sexual activity, physical displays of affection, giving inappropriate personal gifts, frequent personal communication (via phone, e-mail, text messaging, social media, letters, notes, etc.) unrelated to the sport or official school matters, inappropriate touching, or engaging in sexual contact and/or sexual activity. Students must establish appropriate personal boundaries and not engage in any behavior that could reasonably lead to even the appearance of impropriety.
Fraternization means a romantic and/or sexual relationship between a Supervisor and subordinate employee within the direct chain of command or same Department.

Examples of Fraternization in a sentence

  • Fraternization: Contractors and their employees, agents or guests may not fraternize or socialize with University students or employees and must leave the campus at the conclusion of their performance.

  • Specific examples of prohibited conduct are contained in the Fraternization Policy, PD-22, or the corresponding national or local policy.

  • As a grantee of the CCA, each sponsoring organization receiving the services of an AmeriCorps Member agrees that they will abide by federal laws and Fraternization: Relationships between AmeriCorps Members and organizational staff at the service site that have the appearance of partiality, preferential treatment, or the improper use of position for personal gain, are prejudicial to the morale of AmeriCorps Members and will not be tolerated.

  • Fraternization is defined as any relationship deemed unprofessional and/or romantic.

  • Fraternization: Contractors and their employees, agents or guests may not fraternize or socialize with University students or employees and must leave the campus at the conclusion of their services.

  • Fraternization with patrol officers on or off duty shall not, in and of itself, be grounds for disciplinary action.

  • Fraternization may include, but is not limited to, unauthorized or unwarranted physical contact, sexual harassment or sexual misconduct, the offering of cash to a service recipient or related party in the form of a loan or a gift; the purchase for clients or consumers of any items, including food and beverages, not intended for immediate consumption as outlined in #2 below.

  • Complaints of sexual harassment and/or other forms of unlawful discrimination or harassment will be addressed in accordance with OLOL Workplace Harassment and Fraternization Policy, which can be referenced in the OLOL Policy Manual.

  • Fraternization would include having relations with a probationary employee, participating in sports or recreational activities, or socializing with Trainee at non-Department or non-DPOA sponsored events.
