The employee clothing allowance program consists of three specific Levels: - Level 1 is employees who require FR/AR clothing as part of their daily, routine work.
This allowance shall only be used for FR/AR clothing required by OSHA standards and the Suitable Clothing Policy, not for any other clothing or other items.
An employee who is required by OSHA standards or the Suitable Clothing Policy to wear FR/AR protective clothing shall wear that clothing while on duty.
Any new hires or persons transferred into a position that requires FR/AR clothing within the three levels shall receive a set of clothing as defined in the Suitable Clothing Policy.
Flame resistant/Arc Rated (FR/AR) uniforms shall be worn for the designated classifications of Powerline Technician and Powerline Lead Hand.

Further, the employee will be expected to provide “reasonable” care for the FR/AR clothing and return the FR/AR clothing to CMEC for laundering, repair or replacement (rental clothing only).
