forest development definition

forest development means the management and development policies and activities for all natural and man-made forests, based on sound ecological and economic principles, for the expressed purposes of both the production of forest produce and the protection of the environment;
forest development means forestation or reforestation after exploitation or damage due to natural disasters or other causes, localizing and promoting forest reproduction or restoration, regenerating extremely poor natural forests and taking other bio-forestry measures for the purpose of increasing forest area, forest reserves and quality.
forest development means proposed cutblocks and roads or portions of FDUs proposed for cutblocks and roads.

  • experimental development means acquiring, combining, shaping and using existing scientific, technological, business and other relevant knowledge and skills with the aim of developing new or improved products, processes or services. This may also include, for example, activities aiming at the conceptual definition, planning and documentation of new products, processes or services;

  • Infill development means new construction on a vacant commercial lot currently held as open space.

  • Economic development means all powers expressly granted and reasonably inferred pursuant to SDCL § 9-54.
