Foreign Missionary definition

Foreign Missionary. An individual who is assigned duty outside of the United States by an organization that engages in educational, philanthropic, humanitarian or altruistic works. The missionary organization must be exempt from the payment of federal taxes and must have been engaged in placing foreign missionaries for at least 5 years. Examples of such missionary organizations include, but are not limited to, the following: Peace Corps, Evangelical Alliance Mission, etc. "Full-time Student" – In relation to scholarship and grant programs, an individual enrolled for 12 or more credit hours, for either a semester or quarter term. In relation to the Federal Family Educational Loan Program, full-time student is defined at 34 CFR 668.2(b).
