Focused EIR definition

Focused EIR means an EIR that is more limited in scope which can be used on a subsequent project identified in a master EIR [Guidelines § 15178] or a multiple family residential development of no more than one hundred (100) units or a residential/commercial/retail mixed-use commercial development of not more than one hundred thousand (100,000) square feet [Guidelines § 15179.5] when specified conditions are met.

Examples of Focused EIR in a sentence

  • Since the transportation analysis will be in the Focused EIR, the traffic noise impacts will also be addressed in the Focused EIR, as explained in more detail in Task 6.

  • CONTRACTOR’s subcontractor, LSA, will prepare a Focused EIR for the project, replacing LSA’s existing scope for preparation of an IS/MND.

  • It is anticipated, based on a preliminary review of the project description, that a Focused EIR will be appropriate, with selected environmental areas removed from detailed analysis.

  • The Focused EIR will provide for a higher level of project scrutiny.

  • If a Focused EIR is required, a scope and budget adjustment would be required.

  • If potentially significant and unavoidable impacts are identified for selected topics, a Focused EIR would be required.

  • At this meeting, present a recommendation as to whether to proceed with preparation of a MND or a Focused EIR.

  • The Focused EIR will build on the work already done as part of the certified Subsequent Mitigated Negative Declaration by focusing on an analysis for any change in wind conditions over the bluffs area as a consequence of the grading associated with the proposed project.

  • CONTRACTOR, and CONTRACTOR’s subcontractor, LSA, will attend up to nine (9) project development team meetings, including two (2) in- person meetings with; the remaining seven (7) taking place via conference call, associated with preparation of the Focused EIR.

Related to Focused EIR

  • Mobile crisis outreach team means a crisis intervention service for minors or families of minors experiencing behavioral health or psychiatric emergencies.
