Focal definition

Focal. , in Irish, means ‘word’, and is pronounced [fɔkəl]. Focal was developed by Fiontar, using software developed in-house. The editorial team input, checked and amended all the available material, and terminology has been added continuously since then, as it is developed and approved by the TC. The database contents now stand at 148,000 Irish and 143,000 English terms.
