Flexible Tenancy definition

Flexible Tenancy is granted under Section 154 of the ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ ▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇. As a Flexible Tenant you have tenancy for a fixed period and that will usually be for 5 years. This differs from a standard secure council tenancy which can last indefinitely. At the end of the fixed period the Council may decide to: “Harassment” may include: any distress, annoyance or offence caused by intimidation or discrimination on the grounds of sex, age, sexual orientation, disability, race, religion or cultural background.

Examples of Flexible Tenancy in a sentence

  • It will last for one year, unless extended or ended, will automatically become a two year Secure Flexible Tenancy.

  • The Tenant also has this right during the fixed term period of any Flexible Tenancy provided there are no arrears outstanding and any other breaches of Tenancy are remedied.

  • If the decision to end your Flexible Tenancy is upheld, we will serve on you a notice requiring possession giving you at least 2 months’ notice that possession of your home is required.

  • Under certain circumstances, we may apply to the County Court to change a Secure Flexible Tenancy to a Demoted Tenancy.
