Flexible Position definition

Flexible Position means an individual position, which has two (2) pay ranges assigned to it for possible payment to the incumbent Employee. Normally an Employee, who meets the minimum qualifications for the position when selected for the vacancy, will be hired into the position at the higher pay level. An Employee who does not meet the minimum qualifications at the time of selection, will normally be hired at the lower level and will ascend to the higher pay range after some specified period of time or experience as set out in writing.
