First Maintenance Inspection definition
First Maintenance Inspection means the initial inspection performed on an OWTS and system site, and to assess whether any repairs and/or replacement are necessary. The septic tank and/or other components of the system are pumped as part of this inspection to facilitate the evaluation of the current condition of the OWTS. First maintenance inspections involve the location of OWTS components and more detailed data gathering that are not usually necessary for subsequent routine inspections.
