First Information Report definition

First Information Report means the initial written document, prepared by the police, in response to the receipt of information or a complaint pertaining to an offence;
First Information Report means an information recorded under section 154 of the Code;

Examples of First Information Report in a sentence

  • Furthermore, in addition to notifying SBICPSL about the loss or theft of the card, the card member must report any thefts of cards to police and other investigating authorities and lodge a First Information Report (“FIR”).

  • In case of unnatural deaths including accidents (in addition to above) o First Information Report (FIR) attested by the police officials, o Final investigation Report attested by the police officials & o Post-Mortem Report (PMR) attested by the police officials.

  • Facilitating First Information Report (FIR) for any lost, damage, theft, etc.

  • MLC and First Information Report (FIR) copy duly attested by the concerned Hospital and police station respectively.

  • The Operator shall hold, retain and handover those committing criminal activity, violating code of conduct or theft to police, launch application for a First Information Report (FIR) against the criminal or the crime, and follow up accordingly.
