Firearms Proficiency. All bargaining unit members shall meet firearms proficiency and marksmanship standards that are consistent with the Municipal Police Training Committee (MPTC). Such standards shall be a condition of employment.

Examples of Firearms Proficiency in a sentence

  • If an employee qualifies with a pistol, rifle, and shotgun, the City will pay a Firearms Proficiency Bonus in the amount of five hundred dollars ($500.00), payable on the next payroll after qualifications are completed.

  • If an employee achieves a perfect score with a pistol, rifle, and shotgun, the City will pay a Firearms Proficiency Bonus in the amount of one thousand dollars ($1,000.00), payable on the next payroll after qualifications are completed.

  • It is understood that this will include the time involved in procuring the Firearms Proficiency Certificate (to be counted as eight (8) hours) and eight (8) hours of job training, before he shall work on an armoured vehicle.
