Finished floor definition

Finished floor means the bottom of the floor joist or horizontal member of top of the next higher floor above the lowest floor. For the purposes of the National Flood Insurance Program Elevation Certificate (FEMA Form 81-31), the finished floor shall equal the top of the next higher floor as depicted on the Elevation Certificate.
