Final Construction Completion and Acceptance Certificate definition

Final Construction Completion and Acceptance Certificate. (FAC) shall mean a written document issued by the Consulting Engineer, or the Engineer if a Consulting Engineer is not engaged upon the Project, on a form and manner acceptable to the Engineer, within fourteen ( 14 ) days of the expiration of the Maintenance / Warranty period provided all conditions of the Contract have been met by the Contractor. Generally, the issuance of this Certificate shall relieve the Contractor of all his contractual obligations and the contract shall be considered as closed. The Engineer shall be the sole authority, acting within the jurisdiction delegated to him, in making the decision to accept the Work as represented by the Certificate.
