Filter Area definition

Filter Area means a vegetated area where surface water runoff is diverted and dispersed so that sediment and other pollutants are trapped and retained. A filter area can include or be within a forest buffer.
Filter Area means the effective cross-sectional area applicable to the surface type filter media only, usually expressed in square feet.
Filter Area means the area available to separate particulate matter from the recirculating water, expressed in square feet.
