Field Failure Rate definition

Field Failure Rate means the product of A divided by B over agreed rolling period where: A equals the total number of Products under warranty returned for repair or replacement minus the number of units for which no failure was found minus the number of units returned solely due to a Warranty Exclusion; and B equals the total number of Products sold that are still under warranty.
Field Failure Rate for any given month is a fraction: the numerator is the Total Number of Failed Units for that month, and the denominator is the Total Number of Units Deemed to be In-Service and Under Warranty during that month.
Field Failure Rate is defined in Section 23(b).

Examples of Field Failure Rate in a sentence

  • Solectron's performance in delivering a quality product is determined by the Field Failure Rate and is measured as the Annualized Field Failure Rate.

  • Supplier will provide to Sprint by the end of each month a report calculating the Annualized Field Failure Rate for the prior month.

  • All Products manufactured by CSI shall have a Field Failure Rate which in any given month shall not exceed point seventy five percent (.75%).
