Ferrous foundry definition

Ferrous foundry means any source used for melting or refining ferrous metals such as iron consisting of, but not limited to, furnace proper, checkers, flues, stacks, tuyeres, fans or blowers, tapping spout, charging equipment, gas cleaning devices, and other auxiliaries. The foundry furnaces may be cupola, rotary, reverberatory, electric, air, open hearth, crucible, or other type furnaces.
Ferrous foundry means a place where malleable iron, grey iron, nodular iron, or steel or a combination of these metals are melted and poured into molds in the making of castings.
