Fed Book-Entry System definition

Fed Book-Entry System. The book-entry system of the Federal Reserve Banks which provides book-entry holding and settlement for U.S. dollar denominated securities issued by the U.S. Government, certain of its agencies, instrumentalities, government-sponsored enterprises and international organizations of which the United States is a member.
Fed Book-Entry System means the book-entry system of the Federal Reserve Banks.

  • The Participant understands and acknowledges that the Transfer Agent will not effect a creation or redemption until it has received confirmation of receipt of the Participant’s incoming security transfer and/or cash through the Trust’s Clearing Process, Fed Book-Entry System, Euroclear and/or DTC in the case of a creation, and through the Trust’s Clearing Process, Euroclear and/or DTC in the case of a redemption.

  • Book-Entry System means the Federal Reserve/Treasury book-entry system for receiving and delivering securities, its successors and nominees.

  • Federal Book Entry Security means an obligation (i) issued by the U.S. Treasury, the Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corporation or the Federal National Mortgage Association, or any other direct obligation of, or obligation fully guaranteed as to timely payment of principal and interest by, the United States of America, that is a book-entry security held through the Federal Reserve System pursuant to federal book entry regulations, and (ii) the perfection of a security interest in which is governed pursuant to federal regulations by Article 8 of the UCC.

  • Depository System Participant means any participant in the Depository’s book- entry system.
